Adopt-A-School

Adopt-A-School is a way for smaller schools to participate fully in the activities of WFIS without paying the full price of membership.

Here's how the program works:

Any school may choose to pay Pacesetter dues. The $1.00/student over and above Regular dues will be used to help provide dues for schools not currently financially able to pay full dues. (The adopted school pays only the $50.00 capital use fee.) Adopted schools are then considered full members for the year. They are invited to participate in all WFIS activities and they receive the "(almost) monthly" WFIS e-Memo.

• If the adoptive school was not adopted in the previous year, the school will receive credit for full dues for the year.
   
• For a school that was adopted last year, the adopted school may receive credit for one-half the dues for the current year, in addition to the $50.00 capital use fee.
   
• The $50.00 Capital Use Fee must be paid by the school(s) being adopted.
   
• To Adopt-A-School, check the appropriate box in the Pacesetter section of your Statement of Support and return it with your dues payment.

Eligibility Requirements:
 

• First-year adopted schools must have been nonmember schools in the previous year
   
• Adoptions may only take place for two years, as outlined above.
